Playing
How do I play?
Fill the grid so every row, column and 3×3 box contains 1 to 9 exactly once. Tap a cell, then a number. Turn on Notes to pencil in possibilities. In-app help is under Settings → How to play.
How does Killer Sudoku work?
Each dashed cage must add up to the small number in its corner, and digits can't repeat inside a cage. Find it on the Home screen: tap Killer next to “New Game”.
How do combos work?
Correct answers in quick succession build a combo, up to ×5 points. A wrong number resets it, and so does a long pause. Completing a row, column or box earns a bonus.
What happens when I run out of hints or lives?
You get three hints and three lives per puzzle. When they run out you can watch a short, optional video for one more hint or a second chance. You can also turn the three-mistake limit off in Settings.
When does the daily puzzle change?
At midnight on your device. Everyone gets the same puzzle each day. Solve it on the day to keep your streak.
Progress and data
Where is my progress saved?
On your iPhone only. There's no account. Deleting the app deletes your progress, and progress doesn't move to a new phone automatically.
Why do I see ads?
Ads keep the game free. Full-screen ads only appear between games, never in the middle of a puzzle. The small banner sits at the top of the screen, away from the number pad.
How do I change my privacy choices?
In the EU and UK, go to Settings → Privacy choices in the app. To change tracking permission, use iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Read the full privacy policy.
